Captain Thaddius Deming is the commanding officer of the
USS Premonition, a Federation timeship that travelled into the past to warn Captain
Picard and the Federation of an iminent Borg invasion by
Locutus. His ship was originally badly damaged after being pursued into the past by two Borg Spheres, before being assisted by the
USS Enterprise-E. Deming and his ship stayed to assist the Federation repel the Borg threat, and participated in the battle for Earth. After the Borg destroyed the
USS Enterprise-D in 2364 to prevent their defeat, Deming again travelled back in time to prevent the event, shortly after which he and his ship disappeared.
