ViewsNebulaeFrom Star Trek Game Information
[edit] Star Trek: Armada IIThese gaseous areas of space may be used for strategic purposes - depending on the type of nebula. There are six types of nebulae, each of which affect ships differently. Each type may be identified by its colour or visual effect.
[edit] Metreon NebulaThese dangerous nebulae shoot out volatile electric currents and slow the movement of ships. The reddish metreon break down ships' shields at a steady rate, then begin damaging systems when shields are down.
[edit] Radioactive NebulaAny starship captain knows to steer clear of the yellowish radioactive nebulae. These nebulae will kill off the crew at a steady rate, regardless of ship status.
[edit] Metaphasic NebulaEntrace into a metaphasic nebula will remove some of the negative effects that an enemy's special weapon may have caused to a ship. The metaphasic nebula's healing properties also increase shield recharge rate.
[edit] Cerulean NebulaShields do not work in certain nebulae, and all weapons, special or otherwise, are non-functional. Cloaking is also disabled within the confines of a cerulean nebula.
[edit] Mutara NebulaThe mutara nebula, recognisable by its purplish, silver hue and sparkling electricity, slows down any ship within it. The mutara nebula also disables shields, sensors, and prevents warp.
[edit] Latinum NebulaThese nebulae are the only raw source of latinum in the galaxy. As the latinum is mined from a latinum nebula, it changes colour or shrinks to show latinum dissappearing.
[edit] Tachyon NebulaThese nebula have a high concentration of tachyon particles, but otherwise have no positive or negative effects.
