Captain Picard is the commander of the starship Enterprise, and is one of the most experienced field officers in Starfleet. He also has an in-depth knowledge of the Borg Collective, as he was assimilated into Locutus of Borg prior to the Battle of Wolf 359. Following the Dominion War, Picard was assigned to oversee the construction of an outpost in the Beresa sector, where he was contacted and warned of a pending Borg invasion by Captain Deming of the future USS Premonition. Picard led the fleet's defense against the borg from the Enterprise, as well as a join Federation-Klingon-Romulan assault force into Unimatrix 001 to destroy the Omega Particle.

The most highly decorated starship captain in Starfleet, Captain Picard's adventures as the commander of the USS Enterprise have become legendary. The Enterprise-E is his third command posting, and the ship has been involved in engagements with the Borg, the So'na and the Remans. An accomplished diplomatic figure and tactican, Captain Picard will not be afraid to use force to defend his ship or crew.
