This organism has been genetically designed to further the technology of the Species 8472 forces. When each new technology is researched, a new pod grows onto the organism. Though they are attached, each pod has its own "shields" and can be targeted independently from the main structure. If the Enhancer is destroyed, all pods are destroyed with it.
