[edit] Overview

This video features three of Bethesda's games being showcased. Namely Star Trek: Legacy, Star Trek: Tactical Assault, and Pirates of the Caribbean.

The first 1:35 seconds are mainly dedicated to Star Trek: legacy, during which designer Ben Wilson explains many features and aspects of the game, such as its scope and the variety of ships in the game.

Things to look for:

00:48 - A Defiant class starship enjoys a few seconds of beauty shot.

00:56 - A Miranda Class loses a nacelle.

[edit] Transcript

Ben Wilson: Star Trek: Legacy is a real time tactical space combat game. You can play with up to four ships in your fleet at a time. You can play with every major ship from all Star Trek series. We got Star Trek Enterprise, The Original Series, Next Generation. You got DS9. Finally, you got Voyager. You name it. It's in this game.

Our game is a tactical squad game in space. You are flying your ships around. You are shooting phasers and photons. You are targeting ships, systems. You are trying to take out weapons and shields on your enemies, that sort of things. It's free roaming. It's full 3-D space. You can fly up and down. You can orbit planets. You can attack from above. There is a lot of positional tactics to try to get your enemy into your firing arch and take them out.

GameTrailers: You have any plans for online functionally for the game?

Ben Wilson: Sure, we got online on X-Box Live. We'll track all your stats: your favorite race, your kills, what ships you use. Let you customize your fleet per battle. We have four main races: Federation, Klingon, Romulan, and Borg. They'll have different ships. They'll have different strengths and weaknesses. They'll have different abilities. Romulans and Klingons can cloak. Borg can assimilate. Every thing you have seen in the series is in here. We got original story line that's crafted by pretty well known Trek writers that we're hoping to announce coming out soon. This game is practically an encyclopedia of Trek history. We've got every ship you have seen. They are all playable. They are all really fun. They are unique. They play differently. Really looking forward to it.
